Sadly it didn’t turn out exactly that way, and we’ve heard from some people who have had to pay Royal Mail extra for postage, including a hefty admin charge of around £1. We’d like to apologise to anyone who has had to pay for their invite, and will of course happily re-emburse you for the extra postage.

One thing we didn’t consider when posting them was the thickness. When you normally look at an envelope of that width and height, we thought one stamp would be enough. I even weighed one to check it was ok (it was about 25g, easily under the 100g you can post with a single stamp). However they are slightly too thick. To give you an idea of how slightly, if you took 5 or 6 sheets of normal A4 paper and looked at how thick your pile would be, that is what Royal Mail are charging the extra postage on.

Once again, apologies to those who had to pay, and we’ll ensure you aren’t left out of pocket!
